Baking Experience l Pancake Cake

Hi guys!

This will be a short post (I didn't take many pictures of it). 

As promised, this is my second baking experience post :D I baked a different cake a few weeks ago! Can you guess it? 

Jeng jeng jeng... it was a pancake cake! I'm not a pancake lover, but I think it is something interesting to bake! 

So I was searching some cake recipes 2 weeks ago, and I came across this recipe from Jamie Oliver (here is the link, Pancake cake), and I decided to bake it. The process was quite tedious (it took me 3 hours to complete), but it wasn't too hard for beginners. You can give it a try! 

Here is the picture I got it from Jamie Oliver's. It looks soo nice right? How can he be so talented? 

Are you ready to see mine? LOL *mine wasn't as pretty as his*  :( 

Here is my pancake cake. I spreaded chocolate and whipped cream alternately on the pancakes and sprinkled some hazelnuts on top!

Overall, I think the whipped cream kinda spoiled the whole cake :( The taste was too strong!
I should replace blueberry jam instead of whipped cream next time :)
You can also swap the whipped cream with other ingredients/jams you like!

Father's Day Celebration 2013

Casual #ootd for Father's day :)

Hi lovelies! Father's day fell on last Sunday, how did you guys celebrate it? 

I celebrated Father's day one day earlier with my cousins, uncles and aunties in my house! It was more like a family gathering and we had so much fun and food. To be frank, I had never ate so much before, I think I went for more than 5 rounds of steamboat :(  

#dietplanfailed #dietalwaysstartstomorrow LOL 

Prepared everything by ourselves and we used about 5 hours to settle everything, pretty busy :( And mum kept complaining about the workload LOL 

And and and, I baked 3 cakes on my own too (fyi, 2 marble cakes, 1 coffee cake), but the cakes were out of my expectation :( They looked quite terrible HAHA Coffee cake was a total failure (was a little burnt)! 

Party started..

And do you guys see three black cakes? HAHA they weren't burnt no worries, the one on the left was coffee cake, the remaining ones were marble cakes haha! Pfft so ugly :'( 

But my uncles and aunties said the cakes tasted good LOL *not that bad after all* 

Drooling? 

I ate a lot of processed food that day, guilty max #fml 

My little nephew :) He loves to eat, he can eat literally everything LOL

And lastly, Happy Father's day once again daddy! Thanks for showering us with unconditional love and gave us unlimited support and care no matter what! U know we love you :)

Baking Experience l Chocolate Muffins

Hi people, I'm back again after two weeks hiatus. Do you guys miss me? :O

I have a question, do you guys love baking? I guess most of the girls like baking right, so do I. 

I love to try baking different types of cakes and muffins, but I hate hate hate cleaning up :( It kind of demotivates me on baking when I see the scene as above :( sighh 

How I wish I have a maid :( 

So this time, I baked chocolate muffins. It was my first attempt on chocolate muffins, I referred to the recipe online (here is the link, Chocolate Muffins). You can give it a try, it is not very hard for a beginner :) 

The outcome after whisking and mixing :) Ready to bake! 

 This was the first batch, they were a bit out of shape but the outcome still looked good right? 

But, my family members said the muffins were a bit too hard and dry :(  

Nvmd, I will do it better next time! 

Okay, this was the second batch, this batch was a little overbaked :( 

Anyway, it was a good experience to me, I will try to share more soon guys :)

Of Baking, Cooking and Food

Hi lovelies, we are coming to weekend soon *cheers for weekend* (Y) I have the urge to blog more before my next semester starts, so here I am!

It has been a pretty good week for me, because I tried baking and cooking in this week yey! Okay, I should say, baking and cooking are very interesting if you have mastered them, and most importantly, I feel blessed to cook and bake for my family ;) I love seeing them with wide smiles on their faces :D

 This is a pretty easy one! The breakfast platters for family on Sunday morning! Yummeh! 

 Went to buy all the ingredients for my cake on Tuesday noon! These ingredients costed me 60 bucks T.T expensive cake tsktsktsk! :(

 Woke up as early as I can, because this cake takes longer time to complete :( It takes about 10 hours to complete -.- 

 Tadahh! My beautiful cake! The cream cheese layer was good, but the jelly was too watery :( Anyway, still a success right! 

And I got my cravings fixed last week! (Y)

 Best pork noodle in town! It locates in SS15! I waited 50 mins for this! :( But it worths the wait :)

Orcha'ryo from Snowflake, wanted to try this long time ago, but did not have the chance! Anyway, I love it, it wasn't too sweet :)
